Members of the District
Members of the District in Committee
The District is the local administrative body of the Grand Lodge of Scotland. It has purvue over the twenty Lodges under the Grand Lodge of Scotland in Jamaica. The District is headed by the District Grand Master who receives his commission from the Grand Master Mason. The office-bearers of the District are are a mix of appointed and elected members, majority being elected. Its members are drawn from the Daughter Lodges, which as previously stated come from the length and breadth of Jamaica. Past Masters of its Daughter Lodges as well as Masters, Immediate Past Masters, Senior and Junior Wardens constitute the members of the District.
The District meets formally, at communications at least three times for the year. The administrative committee of the District is dealt with by the District Grand Committee. This committee meets 4 times for the year, normally on the months preceeding the communications of the District.
